Some people were interested in our '56 Chevy Sedan delivery which we use as our work vehicle from March to Nov. Here's a few detail pictures and some of the changes that we've made to it over the last several years.
Under the hood there's a new full-roller 506cid which dynos at about 560hp, backed by a Tremec TKO500 5-speed trans, and a Moser Ford 9" rear end w/4:10 gears. We bought a pair of Earl Williams jet-coated headers (3.5" collectors) which go into Flowmaster 40 series mufflers and we added a set of DMH solenoid-actuated header cut-outs so the headers can be opened electrically from inside the car (great for cruising the A & W). We have an Air-Ride suspension at all 4 corners with a 4-link rear to get some grip.
The paint is Ferrari Tour de France blue w/pearl added. The wheels are Boyd's Smoothie IIs; 17 x 7 on the front and 18 x 10 on the rear w/Nitto 245/35-17 and 295/40-18 tires. We added a 500 series power steering box in 2008 and had the interior re-done (again). There's a hydro-boost braking system for the 4-wheel disk brakes which generates about 1200 lbs of force per wheel. We have the Spectre Performance fresh air induction system.
In case you're wondering, nobody makes a kit of a '56 delivery but the Modelhaus has a body that fits onto the Revell-Monogram '56 Nomad kit from a few years ago and we have 1/25 scale decals here for the car.
